In the age of social media, it’s hard to keep a great discovery to yourself. The once-pristine beach in Thailand that was introduced to the world by Leonardo DiCaprio is now teeming with tourists. Bali is no longer off the beaten path. And Venice is actually debating whether to install turnstiles at strategic entrance points to try to preserve the experience.
In Ohsweken, we haven’t yet been swarmed by millions of mobile-waving tourists, but Burger Barn is definitely a sizzling topic on social media. Our latest Yelp reviews have amplified the buzz, and sent many hungry patrons driving from towns across Ontario, Quebec and even farther afield to sample the burger that so many have described as legendary. “The outside legitimately looks like a barn. So you may not expect much of the inside but you would be incorrect. The inside is decorated rustic but not cheaply rustic. Authentic good quality giant wooden tables and booths fill this place. Nothing is flimsy. Someone spent good money on making sure this place was comfortable. There were tables filled with families, everyone smiling and happy. Not a single person seemed grumpy or in a rush to get out and I can tell you why ...The Menu.”
